Triple-Fatal Crash Shuts Garden State Parkway At Exit 105


A foggy Monday morning drive turned deadly for three people heading to the Jersey shore on the Garden State Parkway.

According to a report by 1010WINS, four people were inside an SUV when it wrecked at 5:08 a.m.

Three people were ejected from the vehicle when it crashed. They were killed.

A fourth person was wearing a seatbelt and survived. The extent of that person’s injuries are not yet known.

The SUV was traveling in the express lane when it lost control, smashed into the median, flipping it and sending it rolling into the local lanes.

Fog was extremely thick in the area and it is believed to have been a factor in the crash.

The crash brought about the closure of all lanes of the northbound Garden State Parkway starting at Exit 105. All traffic is being detoured to the Route 36 ramp at that exit, with motorists asked to use leave the parkway at Exit 105 and take Route 18 to Route 9 north.
