PHOTOS: SeniorCare Ambulance Still Working With Facilities Who Were Evacuated

Bronx, NY – SeniorCare Emergency Medical Services is still actively involved in the repatriation of hospital and nursing home patients from Hurricane Irene.

SeniorCare EMS had over eighty (80) ambulances and over 250 employees involved in evacuating hundreds of patients from early Friday morning thru 11pm sat night. SeniorCare EMS assisted in the evacuation of thirteen (13) nursing homes, five (5) assisted living facilities, and two (2) hospitals.  In addition, SeniorCare EMS helped evacuate many private residents that needed ambulance services.  Furthermore, SeniorCare EMS coordinated ambulette services for wheelchair patients and bussing for elderly mobile patients. SeniorCare EMS operates one of the largest fleets of Bariatric stretchers in NYC. SeniorCare EMS transported over seventy five (75) bariatric patients to safety and are in the process of returning them at this time.

All of this work was set into motion late Thursday night and is continuing. SeniorCare EMS is still working around the clock to get these patients and many more back to their Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and residences safely. The dedication of our staff has been exemplary.

  1. This is big $$$ for them, ambulance transports usually charge %700-$800 for a short ride between medical and nursing home facilities.

  2. They are actively involved in continuing to make money! I love it when you take a business and make it sound as if you are a big tzaddik! especially when you are taking these patients back to your OWN facilitys so that you can continue billing for them!!!!
