19-year-old Meir Ettinger, a student at the Old Yosef Chai Yeshiva in Shomron received an IDF administrative order barring him from entering Yehuda and Shomron for four months, citing “security concerns” as the reason. He was presented with the administrative order while standing at Jerusalem’s French Hill intersection. The administrative order is signed by Major-General Avi Mizrachi, the IDF’s Central Division commander. The Honenu organization is handling the matter.
Associates of Ettinger explain this was prompted by the fact that Meir and other residents of Yitzhar have recently begun teaching area residents self-defense, prompted by what they perceive as the army’s soft-handed policy with local Arabs.
Ettinger is a grandson of the late Rabbi Meir Kahane HY”D.
