Kosel Kvitlach Removed Ahead Of Rosh Hashanah


In the presence of Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the rav of the Kosel and holy sites, the Kvitlach that have accumulated in the Kosel since Pesach were removed. They will be buried in a special geniza during the Aseres Yimei Tshuva, the rav explained.

The rav commented that this year, there are significantly more kvitlach compared to previous years, signaling there are simply more visitors to the Kosel.

The kvitlach are removed twice annually, before Rosh Hashanah and Pesach.
