Noam and Aviva Shalit, the parents of Gilad Shalit, have left their home in Mitzpei Hila moments ago. A police escort is taking them to a heliport and they will travel in a helicopter to the Tel Nof Air Force base where they will be reunited with their son, hoping for an opportunity to speak with him as they are en route.

Israel Radio, quoting Turkish media sources, reports that Turkish officials are uncertain regarding accepting a number of terrorists being exiled by Israel, stating their status and other issues as being problematic. In short, the media report states it is not certain that Turkey is accepting any of the released terrorists despite earlier reports to the contrary.
