HaGaon HaRav Moshe Yosef Shlita, the head of the Badatz Beit Yosef and a son of HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita visited with the Sanzer Rebbe Shlita ahead of the chasnah of a daughter.
Rav Moshe traveled to meet with the Sanzer together with his future son-in-law. The rav told the rebbe that his daughter was assigned a project in school, to write about a tzaddik of a previous generation. She consulted with her grandfather, HaGaon HaRav Ovadia, who stated, If I had this assignment, I would write about Rav Chaim of Sanz ZTL, and if you do, I will assist. The ravs daughter, the kallah, acted on her grandfathers advice and Rav Ovadia detailed the life of the tzaddik, and she wrote a five page report as a result.
Rabbi Moshe explained that now he feels he may ask for a bracha ahead of the chasnah for a good zivug.
The rebbe inquired as to Rav Ovadias dialing learning schedule, as well as the new Halacha sefer that is still in the works. The rebbe added I always show my sons tshuvos written by your father as a young man of 20, which are long and comprehensive. It is clear that one does not become a Gadol Yisrael at age 60 or 70, but only one who toiled as he did at a young age.
The chasnah took place last night, Wednesday, eve 6 Cheshvan, in Yerushalayim.
