Katz Calls for Disengagement from Gaza

Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz on Sunday morning, 17 Adar 5772 told Israel Radio “Israel must disengage from Gaza totally,” explaining there must be a gateway in Gaza to Egypt for supplies and all the necessities of residents and not via Israel. He stated there must be an international security force along the border, a force that would include Israeli soldiers. Katz emphasized the “absurd” situation by which supply trucks enter Gaza via Israel must be halted.

The situation today is one in which “we are responsible but do not maintain any control and we are compelled to place a border into place and cut any and all connection with Gaza”.

Regarding the rocket attacks from Gaza, the minister called for a major operation to uproot the terrorist infrastructure.

  1. Kudos to Ariel Sharon, for his wonderful “disengagement” plan from Aza, which has left us with the wonderful state of Hamastan in place of beautiful Gush Katif. Kol HaKavod, Arik, Bibi & all the rest of Kadima-Likud, etc who supported you!!!
