IDF Cooperates with Zaka

Zaka director Yehuda Meshi-Zahav was in an IDF naval base as part of a new level of interagency cooperation between Zaka and the IDF. The Zaka volunteers were in a Haifa naval base and they were met by senior commanders who gave them the tour along with relevant explanations.

The experts discussed methods by which they can increase cooperation between the agencies, especially in search and rescue operations.

Zaka members were taken around to permit them to become somewhat familiar with the naval equipment and vessels, meeting with one of the commanding officers, Lt.-Colonel Dotan.

Zaka is pleased with the new level of cooperation and feels it is playing a vital role in live-saving efforts, adding it is especially significant coming from a primarily chareidi organization.
