Improved Car Rental Service at Ben-Gurion Airport

Good news for travelers who are planning to rent a car in Ben-Gurion International Airport upon their arrival to Israel. In the past, most rental companies only enjoyed limited privileges in Terminal 3, but this has been expanded to the benefit of clients. While Avis and Eldan were in the terminal, other car rentals were in the old terminal.

Beginning this week clients will be able to get their rentals at Terminal 3 and they will no longer have to travel to the old terminal, as has been the case in recent years. The rental companies are receiving 140 parking spaces in Terminal 3 to accommodate providing improved service for clients. The new rental spot will be opposite the Pardes parking lot. That is the good news for receiving a car. Only Avis clients will be permitted to return their vehicles at Terminal 3. The others will still have to bring returns to the old terminal.

It is unclear if Eldan returns are at Terminal 3 this week, but if not, this should be operational in the immediate future.

  1. It was a nightmare renting a car there, Its not the first time that its been changed, I eonder how long this one will last,

  2. When terminal 3 first opened, the car rental companies were all located there. The area was not well planned and frequently it was impossible to identify which company owned a particular vehicle. Then came the “improvement.” While a littlle better organized, it was very inconvenient for arriving passengers.
The airport authority should take an example from the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida airport. No matter which rental company you use, it is a pleasure both recieving and returning a car.
