Among the prominent rabbonim and admorim seated at the dais at the Teddy Stadium Siyum HaShas on Monday, was the Kaliver Rebbe Shlita, who was called upon to address the forum.
Perhaps one of the unique characteristics of that siyum was the achdus, the participation of Sephardim and Ashkenazim, with many admorim and roshei yeshiva seated alongside Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita.
In the Kaliver’s address he stated “I believe that I am the only one here that can say they know the rav for almost 50 years. From the day we arrived in Eretz HaKodesh we merited being with this gaon hatzaddik that has been moser nefesh for torah.
In his usual fashion, the rebbe concluded by taking the opportunity to have the tzibur recite Shema Yisrael aloud with him.
