About 10 mortar shells were fired by Gazan terrorists at an IDF outpost in the northern Gaza area. Bchasdei Hashem there are no reports of injuries. The IDF responded, targeting numerous Islamic Jihad positions in the Beit Hanoun area. The attack against the outpost took place not too long after Red Alert sirens sounded mistakenly in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council and Sderot as well as Shar HaNegev areas.
The IDF spokesmans office confirmed that tank fire and aerial fire were directed as the Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza.
