The son of the Rebbe of Biala Beit Shemesh, who resides in London, was attacked while out with his wife and baby by a thug who confronted him, spitting at him, hurling curses and insults, and issuing threats to kill him and all Jews.
The incident took place in a predominantly Muslim neighborhood roughly half an hour from London’s Chareidi community.
As the situation escalated, the man’s wife entered a nearby shop while calling the police. The shopkeeper intervened, stepping outside to push the attacker away and telling him, “Leave here—don’t do this here.” The assailant eventually left, but not before repeating threats to kill Jews.
The family reported the incident to the police. Officers said they are treating the case with urgency, particularly given the recent rise in antisemitic incidents and the ongoing war with Iran, and assured the family they will make every effort to identify and apprehend the suspect.
Police also committed to reviewing security camera footage from the area and, if the suspect is identified, to bringing in witnesses to provide testimony.
