Netanyahu: Israel Wants Long-Term Solution To Gaza Crisis

Israel wants to find a long-term, diplomatic solution to resolve the Gaza crisis, but will not hesitate to escalate its military campaign against Hamas terrorists if needed, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday.

“If a long-term solution can be put in place through diplomatic means then Israel would be a willing partner to such a solution,” Netanyahu said after talks with the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

“But if stronger military action proves necessary to stop the constant barrage of rockets, Israel will not hesitate to do what is necessary to defend our people,” he added.

  1. My own opinion. Unless Israel goes into Gaza – Hamas despite all the Gaza destruction – has won this war. They’ve shown what they’ve threatened for a long time. They can reach Tel Aviv & Jerusalem.

  2. It is not as simple as you make it sound takingabreak. Unfortunately, as seen from past attacks, as soon as Israel will enter they will likely lose support from the international countries due to inevitable killing of so to speak ‘innocent’ people. Sadly this is the standpoint of too many. Israel needs allys to be able to accomplish and as such they are attempting this ceasefire in hope that if it will not be successful, the world will see it is impossible to make ‘peace’ with hamas.

  3. Resettle Gush Gatif with those Israelis who were dispossessed several yrs ago. That would be a good beginning for a long term solution, but only a beginning–move more and more Israeli settlers into Gaza—–and Judea, Samaria, East Jerusalem and ALL of the EAST bank.

  4. May I suggest as a goy that Israel literally starve out Hamas and all its allies. I’m not a expert on the Tanach but I’ve read where in Deuteronomy Chapter 20, verse 19 the following:

    ” 19 When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by wielding an axe against them; for thou mayest eat of them, but thou shalt not cut them down; for is the tree of the field man, that it should be besieged of thee?
    20 Only the trees of which thou knowest that they are not trees for food, them thou mayest destroy and cut down, that thou mayest build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it fall. {P} ”

    לְתָפְשָׂהּ, לֹא-תַשְׁחִית אֶת-עֵצָהּ לִנְדֹּחַ עָלָיו גַּרְזֶן–כִּי מִמֶּנּוּ תֹאכֵל, וְאֹתוֹ לֹא תִכְרֹת: כִּי הָאָדָם עֵץ הַשָּׂדֶה, לָבֹא מִפָּנֶיךָ בַּמָּצוֹר.
    כ רַק עֵץ אֲשֶׁר-תֵּדַע, כִּי-לֹא-עֵץ מַאֲכָל הוּא–אֹתוֹ תַשְׁחִית, וְכָרָתָּ; וּבָנִיתָ מָצוֹר, עַל-הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר-הִוא עֹשָׂה עִמְּךָ מִלְחָמָה–עַד רִדְתָּהּ. {פ}

    Rashi comments were and I quote: “Here, {Hebrew Ref} is understood as “perhaps.” ‘Perhaps the tree in the field is a man, to be included in your siege, and suffer famine and thirst along with the city’s inhabitants?263 Why must you destroy it?'”

    B’vah’chah’shah, someone verify the above and tell Israel to do this!!! B’vah’cha’shah,

    Toddah rabbah, a goy, Gerry Mullen
