Yahadut Hatorah officials met in Ohr Yehuda on Tuesday 26 Teves 5773 to decide on an alternate date for the party’s large election asifa. The event was scheduled for this week in the Jerusalem Convention Center but organizers decided to cancel it amid predictions of the winter storm.

The new date set is 6 Shevat, the Thursday preceding the 11 Shevat general elections. It will be held in the same venue, the convention center. Gedolei Hador Shlita are expected to participate in the event.

With the draft gezeira hanging over the bnei Torah community, Yahadut Hatorah officials are hoping with a good turnout, aware of the less than enthusiastic election polls accompanied by with the realization that the party will need seven or more seats to place it in an influential position in the next coalition
