President Shimon Peres on Thursday 11 Adar 5773 during the evening, at Kfar Maccabiah in Ramat Gan, met with the president of FC Barcelona. Mr. Peres and Mr. Rosell announced a unique joint project involving Israel, the PA (Palestinian Authority) and FC Barcelona to advance peace through sport.

Mr. Rosell, who is visiting Israel and the PA for the first time, along with his deputy Javier Faus, released a statement yesterday and said, “Barca wants to make its modest contribution to the building of bridges of understanding and harmony between the Israeli and Palestinian people through sport.”
