NY Man Threatened Mayor, Gov on Facebook: Police

Police say a Rockland County man with a cache of weapons made death threats on Facebook against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bloomberg and several members of Congress.

Clarkstown police say Lawrence Mulqueen, 49, singled out House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Sen. Charles Schumer and members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Police found two rifles, bulletproof body armor, bayonets, 100 rounds of ammunition — including armor-piercing bullets — and a sword at his home.

Mulqueen, whose Facebook page says he was born in the Bronx and raised in Manhattan, was arraigned Thursday on charges of making terroristic threats, illegally possessing weapons and harassment.

Police were called Wednesday afternoon by Mulqueen’s landlady, who said he’d been harassing her.

Police say the FBI helped with the investigation.

Mulqueen was charged with making terroristic threats and illegal weapons possession. A town court clerk says no lawyer is listed for Mulqueen in court records. He’s being held at the Rockland County Correctional Facility until a court date Monday.
