Holiday L’Chaim Results in Many Cancelled Road Tests

wineMany driving students anxious to take their road tests before Pesach are going to be disappointed. According to a Yediot Achronot report, the 149 road test examiners have all canceled their last two tests. No exams will be given on Tuesday 8 Nissan 5773 from 13:10-14:45 in the Central District.

Driving school instructors were notified and asked to pass the message on to students scheduled for a road test during that time. The explanation accompanying the message is simple. During that time slot, Ministry of Transportation road test examiners will be having a pre-Pesach L’Chaim and they know that if one drinks, one does not drive.

More than a few students are annoyed for many spent a considerable sum taking extra lessons shortly before the exam to increase their odds of getting it right. Now they are told, only hours before the exam, that the test will not be given because instructors must have a L’Chaim in honor of the upcoming Yomtov.
