The reports on motzei Simchas Torah 5774 from Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital concerning Maran HaGaon HaRav Chaim Ovadia Yosef Shlita state there was no significant change in the condition of the gadol hador over Yomtov. The tzibur is urged to continue being mispallel.
The ravs sons, HaGaon HaRabbonim Rishon LTzion Rav Yitzchak, Rav Avraham, Rav Moshe and Rav David spent Simchas Torah at their fathers bedside. Kol Chai Radio on motzei Yomtov quoted Rav David saying there has not been any significant change and his father remains in serious/stable condition in the medically induced coma.
Rav David added that the doctors have not given up hope and it is entirely possible that the rav will awaken and improve from his current condition, adding that this is not something that will occur from today until tomorrow, but it will take a measure of time.
The family is urging Am Yisrael to continue being mispallel for Rav Chaim Ovadia.
