Man Gets 15 Months For Making Threats Against Cuomo, Bloomberg And Schumer


tA New York man who admitted making death threats on Facebook against several well-known politicians has been sentenced to 15 months in prison.

A federal judge told Lawrence Mulqueen he is entitled to have opinions, but his postings had crossed the line into criminal behavior.

The Nanuet man had posted threats to the lives of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and top Democrats in Congress.

He wrote that he couldn’t wait to start killing them.

In court Wednesday, the 50-year-old Mulqueen said he wouldn’t have posted the threats if he had been sober. He apologized for the violence they implied.

Mulqueen’s landlady turned him in to police in February and said he’d been harassing her. She told police about the Facebook page.
