The assailant who assaulted HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita in his home was brought to a remand hearing in the Tel Aviv District Court on Thursday, 20 Cheshvan 5774. Justice Shmuel Melamed extended the suspect�s remand until Sunday, 23 Cheshvan at 10:00am.

The court ordered the suspect transported to the Abarbanel Mental Hospital immediately �due to his acute psychotic condition�. The prosecutor is expected to file an indictment against him on Friday, 21 Cheshvan.

The gadol hador on Thursday morning was taken to a hospital for an exam as a precautionary measure.
