De Blasio Remains Mum About Key NYC Appointments

BDB grumpyNew York City mayor-elect Bill de Blasio is remaining coy about key appointments to his new administration.

De Blasio was elected last week and takes office Jan. 1. He returned to New York after spending several days in Puerto Rico for a political conference and some vacation time.

Last week, he named four people to run his transition team. But he’s yet to appoint any deputy mayors or agency commissioners.

He also said he would stay out of the process to select a new City Council speaker. The council members themselves will vote.

De Blasio appeared at the city’s annual Veterans Day parade.

He spoke movingly about his father. He says the World War II veteran suffered “physical and emotional” scars.

  1. Anyone who is not an anti American radical leftist stands little to no chance of getting such an appointment in his administration.

  2. I’m sure de blastio’s appointments will look very similar to barry’s supreme court appointment: full of wise latinas and upper west side type jews. While this will surely make the nfgo3’s of the world happy, this will be a disaster for nyc just like de blastio’s policies will be. Hashem yerachaim.
