A 16-year-old talmid yeshiva was stabbed on Friday night on Shomer Street corner of Rabbi Akiva Street in Bnei Brak by a shabavnik. The talmid was walking with a friend when they encountered a group of the delinquent youths. They got into a verbal confrontation and at some point; one of the delinquents pulled out a knife and stabbed the talmid in his abdomen.

Ichud Hatzalah stabilized the victim on the scene and he was then transported by ambulance to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah. The attacker fled the scene. Police are continuing the investigation.
