Assemblyman Hikind Announces ‘Imminent Launch’ Of Security Cameras In BP, Midwood

hikind[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] In a recorded video message on his blog, Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind announced Thursday the imminent launch of the ‘Leiby Kletsky Initiative’ surveillance cameras in Borough Park, Midwood and Flatbush.

“Approximately 100 surveillance cameras will be going up in the next 10 days in our neighborhoods – Borough Park, Midwood and all different locations,” Mr. Hikind announced. “This will help us in terms of fighting crime and something that everyone is concerned about – the Knockout attacks that have happened in our communities.”

“These surveillance cameras will protect our community,” Mr. Hikind said, as he pointed to a map of the district he represents in Albany and the surrounding neighborhoods in Brooklyn. “If anyone is involved in committing these kind of crimes, these kind of acts, they will be on camera and we will have their picture, and hopefully we will be able to apprehend them.”

The first cameras, Mr. Hikind announced, are going up in the Midwood area “in the coming days.”

“We will report back to you when those cameras fiscally,” he promised.

  1. Hikind, why did we have to wait for the knockout punches in midwood before receiving these cameras? These cameras were supposed to be installed soon after the kletsky tragedy.

The answer is because you are a politician, simple and clear. High time new blood replaced you.

  2. You cant prevent crime with cameras, you can only catch criminals after the crime. But if a Mohel will perform a Bris with Metzitza w/o the parents sig. the health department can trace him very quick on cameras.
