Lights Out in Gaza So Why Not Blame Israel

powerForeign media reports state that Gaza’s one and only electric plant came to a grinding halt on Friday 24 Teves 5774, once again out of fuel. So when things go dark, why not at least benefit politically by pointing the finger of blame at Israel.

Gaza officials are quoted saying that due to Israel’s closure of the Kerem Shalom border crossing their supplies of fuel have been exhausted. No mention was made as to the fact the crossing was closed after sniper fire claimed the life of an Israeli working to repair the border fence. There is also no mention made of the fact that the Egyptians will not permit bringing fuel in via the Rafiach Crossing, for blaming Israel has become the response of choice.

Unlike Israel, Egypt makes no apologies and offers no explanations. It has announced the Hamas terror regime in Gaza is responsible for terrorism in Egypt, aligning with the Muslim Brotherhood. For Egypt that is the end of the story. For Israel the babbling and explanations have become a way of life.

The reports of the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza also fail to mention that a katyusha rocket was fired into southern Israel on Thursday night.

  1. No mention either that the PA hasn’t paid 50% of their electric bill to the State of Israel, yet Israel, out of their stupidity, er, goodness of heart, still provides them electricity.

PA is living up to its lying, hypocritical nature.
