Canadian PM Harper’s Har Habayis Tour Canceled

While visiting Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper planned to visit Har Habayis, the Islamic Waqf had other plans, blocking the official visit.

When Waqf officers learned that some of the prime minister’s bodyguards are Jewish, they banned them from the holy site, bringing an abrupt end to the visit. For those who have been decrying the situation, stating Har Habayis has not been in Israeli control for some time, this is yet another example.

Actually, there are various versions of the exact events, as some reports indicate that Harper was on Har Habayis for an unspecified time period and when the bodyguards were going to join him, the event was canceled.
