Yesha Leader Calls to Eliminate Criminal Sanctions In IDF Draft law

idffYesha Council Executive-Director Adi Mintz used his Facebook page to get out the following message in reference to the new draft law being finalized by the Shaked Committee.

“This law, which truly does not represent equality has a major problem and that is the criminal sanctions.” He continues “the process could have led to increased chareidi integration, which is taking place anyway, but criminal sanctions represent a symbol. Remove that symbol. Remove this gezeira on erev Taanis Esther. Doing so will contribute to the process of chareidim integrating, by doing so you will avoid this mark of shame in the law books of the State of Israel. This demand is part of the coalition agreements. The prime minister opposes this and is dragged against his will”.

In regarding to Yesh Atid leader Mintz writes “Lapid threatens? Yes, and if he breaks away from the coalition the chareidi parties will replace him.”

  1. Let the criminilization stand. This way we will see who the sionim really are. We don’t need the yesha crowd trying to kasher the pork fressing secular tzionim. Look what they did to gush katif as most of those yidden are still homeless. The yesha supported bennet who made a coalition with Lapid. Bennet could of gone with the chareidim and every frum jew would be happy. Now the building of settlements is opposes by lapid. We must tumul up in israel with protests like the million man march and demand they cut aid to israeli arabs who don’t serve in the army but chareidim do get aid for their children cut. They claim they don’t trust the arabs yet they have an arab on supreme court as well as numerous other israeli courts. But no chareidi is allowed to be on supreme court. The sole reason for the draft is to medernize the chareidi youth and destroy the next generation of frum yidden.

  2. But since he is be definition a hawk, he’s in a very weak position to make the argument UNLESS he also argues for abolishing conscription. That fact that a professional/volunteer army would be a “win win” solution for most involved is an added bonus.
