Um el-Fahm Arabs Protest Mosque Vandalism

ptaHundreds of residents of the Israeli Arab municipality of Um el-Fahm took to the streets on Friday, 18 Nissan 5774 following a possible price tag attack on a city mosque. A mosque door was set on fire and graffiti �Arabs out!� was painted on an inside wall. Police were summoned and they are reviewing security camera footage of the area in the hope of identifying the assailants.

Um el-Fahm district commander Shimon Azran believes the attacked was a hate crime and he is proceeding accordingly in the investigation. Angry residents blocked the area major intersection, angered over the attack. A large police force was on hand to contain the crowd and to reopen Route 65, the area�s main vehicular route.
