A grandson was born during the predawn hours of 27 Sivan 5774 to Rishon LTzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita and former Rishon LTzion Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar Shlita.
A boy was born to daughter of Rav Amar in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, who is married to a son of Rav Yitzchak Yosef. Rav Amar received the news from a member of the flight crew as he was on his return home from a trip to Australia.
It is hoped that the simcha of the grandson and the bris bringing them together will remove the barriers that exists between the Torah giants today.
