After Friday night tefilos in Beit Choshen in the eastern capital, seven Jews headed home to the Beit Orot area of the capital. When they passed A-Tur they were attacked by Arabs armed with wooden planks with nails protruding, metallic rods and tools as well as throwing rocks at them.

A 24-year-old male was stabbed in his back and a 21-year-old was hit across the head with a metal pipe. They were listed in moderate condition when transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

After the attack police released a message that a “brawl” occurred between the sides as the Jews headed home from shul, adding “police will not tolerate disturbances from any sector and it will enforce the law without discrimination”.
