The turmoil and opposition protests have subsided and the Women of the Wall (WoW) continue their monthly rosh chodesh prayer event at the Kosel, now regularly bringing a small Sefer Torah as well.
While a Supreme Court decision some years ago permitted them to read from a Torah, they were never permitted to take one from the men’s side. They have recently begun bringing their own with them.

They’re crazy
If she put on the tifillin a bit tighter
She can cut her circulation!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it designer tifillin?
Give me a break
they solely exist to get a reaction out of frum yidden and other traditional jews. if we ignore them, eventually the cameras and press will disappear and then eventually they will too.
they’re not crazy they are fighting for something they believe in. of course it’s keneged the Torah
Why don’t you stay in the kitchen and make kugel lol
I’m actually not even getting upset anymore . I guess this past weeks tragedy put things in a different prospective for me. I just say “nebach on them” and may they have a refuah shelaima quickly!
And David I disagree with your comment. They are not crazy but rather very disturbed and ill!
At a time when the country is still mourning the loss of 4 Kedoshim these ladies decide to continue with their agenda?! It just goes to show that these ladies have no sense of decency! Shame on them!
These miscreants are not worthy of the news coverage they receive. Why do a handful of rebellious irreligious women get there cause publicized here month after month?
Why is this even an article??
They’ve been doing this for years now, this isn’t news at all.
Just another article to spew lashon hara that is now on the editors of this websites shoulders.
where is my preparation h?
Bored women nothing better to do
Let them take one from the men’s side or store one on the women’s side.
It is a shanda that with terrorists all over Jerusalem, we divert police resources to try to stop a sefer Torah from being carried to the Kotel plaza. 🙁
Nebach misguided
1) Does that sefer torah look like a printed torah my kids use on Simchas torah?
2) That women with the straps on her arm didnt bother to do it properly.
3) Whats the deal with the outstretched tallis? Again Simcha torah.
4) I wonder if these women ever pray during the rest of the month, or only to make a political statement.
5) Doesnt that women know it is forbidden to touch a sefer torah with bare hands? Where is the respect?
6) I see lots of cameras – no siddurim.
Am I the only one who noticed that there are more WOW members busy taking pictures than actually praying?
G-d definitely loves them for the divisiveness theyre causing.
New flavors of ice cream are great, new flavors of Judaism arent.
Women, leave excellent old fashioned Jewish values alone! Once you start tweaking, its no longer Torah true Judaism. Give it another name. Maybe Women Off the Wall.
Maybe call them Clowns of the Wall – CoW. Except that the cow is kosher, and the non-Jews among them (from phony reform “conversions” may not go for that, as well as the mamzeirim, from the reform marriages with a woman who didn’t have a get.)
I wonder if the fake rabbi, shiksa Susan O’Hara Silverman was there?
Wonderful! Its a womens holiday and they should be b’simcha…
So sad! If they really want to have a connection with Hashem and they’re being misled by a few misguided attention seeking provocateurs
