Israel Electric Company labor leader Miko Tzarfati on Tuesday 1 Teves declared a general strike of the utility company. He made his declaration during a session of the Knesset Economic Committee headed by MK Prof. Avishai Braverman.
He warned the utility company is on the verge of collapse and he will not permit workers to be “the responsible adult while all relevant agencies ignore all of the warning lights”.
“Under the current situation the company cannot continue supplying electricity to the public. It is time to make it clear to the decision-makers just what will occur if the electric company will not be here tomorrow. The consequences of layoffs of hundreds of employees are disastrous”.
Officials announce the sudden strike will not halt electricity. The strike will place repair crews on a Shabbos schedule, hence resulting in delays.

For one STOP supplying Gaza with FREE electricity, and do not repair HAMAS damged lines that were lodged at Israel but fell in Israel. The meshugas of the Israeli govt and Israel Electric is mind boggling.
2nd strike in the last month what a great company.
