There will be an emergency school safety meeting this Thursday at 11:00AM being arranged by Misaskim in light of the recent terrorist attacks overseas.
The meeting will be addressed by the NYPD Assistant Chief of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South. The NYPD Counter Terrorism Unit will be updating Yeshiva / School principals and administrators about any current threats and awareness. The NYPD Shield Program will discuss the active shooter scenario and what to do. The Commissioner Of Emergency Management for NYC will discuss emergency planning for the schools. The Department of Health will talk about the precautions to take regarding the shigella outbreak. Misaskim will also give an update about the Urgent Notification System developed for your schools benefit.
By order of the NYPD chief it was made mandatory that all the precinct commanders from the precincts in Brooklyn South – along with their Community Affairs and Crime Prevention officers be present at this meeting.
The meeting will be Thursday at Bais Sarah 1616 61 st @ 11AA. There will be plenty of reserved parking for your convenience on 16th Ave.
