As the latest element in their Make Universal Pre-K Universal campaign, the Orthodox Union has released a video highlighting Mayor de Blasios inability to include the Jewish day school community in his signature Universal Pre-K program.
The video features the Mayors 2014 State of the City Address, in which he stated, We will offer every child, from every borough of this city, truly universal full-day Pre-K.
We will give a fair shot to those who deserve it most: our children. All of them, said Mayor de Blasio.
Unfortunately, more than a year after the Mayors inaugural State of the City address, 89 percent of New York Citys Jewish day school pre-K students are unable to participate in the Mayors Universal Pre-K program due to program regulations set by the City.
