Brooklyn: NYPD’s 66 And 63 Precincts Get New Commanding Officers


nypdrTwo Brooklyn precincts are getting new Commanding Officers, police sources have confirmed to YWN. Both are heavily populated Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods.

The 66 Precinct which covers the Boro Park community will be getting Captain Kenneth Quick as their new commander. Quick has been working at the Patrol Boro Brooklyn South Specialized Units.

Quick will be replacing Deputy Inspector Michael Deddo who has been at the 66 for approximately 3 years. Deddo is expected to be moved to the Internal Affairs Bureau. Prior to his position at the 66, Deddo was the Commanding Officer at the 63 Precinct which covers parts of Flatbush and Marine Park – also a heavily populated Orthodox Jewish community.

The 63 Precinct will also be getting a new Commanding Officer YWN has confirmed. Assigned to lead that Precinct is Captain Tommy Burke. He is replacing Deputy Inspector John Rowell who is expected to be transferred to Patrol Boro Brooklyn South. Burke has been the second in command (X) at the 71 Precinct for a year. The 71 Precinct covers the Crown Heights area.
