Eida Gavaad: Early Medical Detection is a Good Eitza

1Eida Chareidis Gavaad HaGaon HaRav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss Shlita met with Rabbi Aaron Aberman of the Lev Malka organization. Rav Aberman requested a bracha from the gavaad for continued success for the organization’s activities.

Rabbi Aberman detailed some of the organization’s chessed work, including camp programs for children afflicted with cancer. There are outings and trips for the children as well as their immediate families. Aberman explained that while once upon a time it was difficult finding a sufficient number of children to participate, now there are too many children and Lev Malka cannot accommodate all of them unfortunately.

“At times we hear of many cases in which people go for age-appropriate early detection medical screening and as a result learn they have one problem or another R”L. Without a doubt the fact that they are tested and the illness detected in many cases has saved their lives. Early testing often saves lives as opposed when people do not have the testing and are later diagnosed with a serious illness” Lev Malka officials explain.

The gavaad responded that persons must go for early detection exams at the appropriate age, adding “this is a good eitza”.

Rabbi Weiss gave Rabbi Aberman a bracha for continued success, acknowledging the wonderful done by Lev Malka and how many children’s quality of life is significantly improved because of the organization’s activities.

Lev Malka is now preparing for three different vacations and fun days for children and their families.

  1. Saying it’s a good organization to support is great.
But do you really need the Gavad to say “Eida Gavaad: Early Medical Detection is a Good Eitza”.
His haskama is needed before they will do early detection?Like otherwise people wouldn’t do it?
