A 2-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and sustained a head injury in Elad early Sunday morning 20 Sivan. The incident occurred at 6:40AM.

According to the Ichud Hatzalah report, the boy awakened early and left his home, wondering onto Yochanan Ben Zakai Street in Elad. EMT Shmulik Berkowitz reports �When I arrived on the scene, the child was conscious and had already been extricated from under the car by pedestrians. The child was transported to the hospital in moderate condition�.

Ichud Hatzalah reminds parents to be certain to lock doors to prevent children from wandering outdoors, particularly parents of smaller children who often awaken early in the day.
