New Online Grocery Startup EZKosher Takes Catskills By Storm

It was on everyone’s mind. We were all thinking about it, talking about it, and waiting for it: A newly introduced online grocery service that is creating tidal waves in the Catskill region this summer.

What is it? EZkosher.com is a website, a platform for customers to shop at any of their local kosher supermarkets by simply punching in their zip code.

To learn more about this exciting service, we tracked down Leiby Koplowitz. The founder of EZkosher.com, Leiby happens to be a young Brooklyn entrepreneur with a shopping cart full of innovative ideas.

“It really is a simple, why-hasn’t-anyone-thought-of-this-before concept”, he claims. “Kosher consumers have long wanted a newer and trendier shopping medium for kosher groceries, but they would never forgo the freshness and private label items available at their favorite local store. This is the first time ever that stores and customers can come together and benefit from a really seamless online kosher experience.”

For the 2015 summer season, EZkosher.com already features the 6 most beloved kosher supermarkets across the many communities and colonies in the Catskill region. All prices reflect exactly those offered in the supermarkets themselves.

“This was a year-long project,” Leiby continues. “Against all odds, we managed to roll out our program to serve many local areas. Within just the first weeks of summer, we’re already growing out of our shoes. We’re rapidly hiring more drivers and expanding our network of customer service reps, and training them in to cope with the overwhelming success.”

What about critical reception? “The feedback we are fielding from the community is fantastic,” Leiby remarks. “One mother from the Twin Oaks colony in _____ told me that back in the days she would pay extra for a bungalow in a colony with a grocery. Now with EZkosher.com, it’s like every colony has its own grocery. Another housewife from the Willow Woods community told me, ‘I used to make my husband drive out and schlep groceries on Thursday night after he came up from the city. I felt terrible; even mean. With EZkosher.com, I can shop from my phone and they deliver it right to our door.’”

Some would say, enough said. But Leiby always seems to have another card up his sleeve: “Believe me, this is just the beginning. Our next website update will introduce a host of new ideas and innovative features. You’ll be blown away by this newfound ease in kosher shopping.”

Guess we’ll all turn around after the summer and wonder how we ever survived without EZkosher.com.
