Poll: Most Israelis are Opposed to a Unity Coalition

bibnA poll conducted by the Molad, the Center for the Renewal of Israeli Democracy show most Israeli citizens are uninterested in national unity government. The participants in the poll prefer to sharpen the ideological differences between the left and right-wing.

Participants in the poll were asked:

As you know, PM Netanyahu and Likud formed a coalition with Kulanu, Bayit Yehudi, Shas and Yahadut Hatorah. Do you think the Zionist Camp (Labor) headed by Yitzchak Herzog should join the coalition or head the opposition?

  1. I had never heard of Molad so I went to their website to see who they were. While I am not familiar with all of their directors, those whom I am familiar with are members of the (very) far left, who presumably would themselves prefer to see Labor remain in the opposition. Just saying.
