Police say a woman and her two children were injured after they were struck by a vehicle on U.S. Route 9 in Ocean County.
Sgt. Leroy Marshall says the Lakewood crash was reported around 10 p.m. Monday.
Witness Yehuda Jacob told the Asbury Park Press that a woman was pushing her children in a carriage across the intersection of U.S. Route 9 and Edgewood Court when the collision occurred.
Jacob says emergency responders put the children on backboards and supplied them with oxygen.
Police say the extent of the victims� injuries is unknown. The two children were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
A Lincoln Towncar was towed from the scene at about 12:30 a.m.
It�s not known if the driver was charged.
