A 21-year-old Jewish visitor to Har Habayis on Tuesday, 24 Elul, was arrested after he was spotted reciting the bracha ‘Shehakol’ before drinking water. According to another visitor who accompanied the man arrested, the man requested from a policeman to go over to the water fountain to drink but he was not permitted. One of the policeman present offered the young man a bottle of water. He thanked the policeman and made a bracha and had some water. At that time police informed he is arrested for reciting the bracha on Har Habayis.

Honenu was notified and began working immediately to have him released.

It is added that Gedolei Yisrael throughout the generations have ruled one may not visit Har Habayis. This is the ruling of Gedolei Yisrael today as well, in addition to being the position of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

The video shows how the Arab women react when a Jew tries drinking from a public fountain on Har Habayis.

  1. The Israeli police are crazy on Jews but the Arabs can yell death to Jews and get away with it.

Seems to me that the Israeli police are just cowards. Like the bullies that prefer to beat the weak boys and stay away from the big and strong ones, so too the Israeli police beat the Jews and run from the Arabs.

  2. If an Arab plays soccer on Har Habayis, no arrests are made. Yet if a yid makes a brocha before drinking water, he is arrested.
Plain anti-Antisemitism. Just another reminder that we’re still in golus.
