30,000 Guests In Uman this Shabbos


20150911012009Some 30,000 guests were in Uman this Shabbos, parshas Nitzavim as Rosh Hashanah begins on Sunday evening. Officials from the Uman Express Company are shuttling the guests from the airport to the tziyun of Rav Nachman ZT”L.

Organizers explain that they expect another 15,000 mispallalim to arrive before Rosh Hashanah. Travel agents report they are sold out – there are no more tickets available to Uman before Yomtov.

It is reported that the medical station set up at the location headed by Rav Nachman Klein and Rav Avigdor Landsman, heads of Ichud Hatzalah in the Galil region, have treated 56 patients by erev Shabbos during the morning hours. The clinic is being manned by ten physicians from Israel and the United States who came especially to provide care for the many mispallalim who wish to be in Uman for Rosh Hashanah.

  1. And how many of these thousands of people left wives, children, parents and families at home? This is not something to be proud of.

Unless you’re here or have been here before – please don’t post foolish comments….most wives are very supportive of their husbands desicions to come to Uman – many fathers bring thief boys as well, for every person the experience is different. Not sure about everyone else but we ended Shul today and yesterday well after 4pm – everyone has the right to choose where they would like to be for yom tov and – frankly posters who speculate otherwise are more clueless than foolish.
