13:33: The terrorist attempted to fire but there was no magazine in the gun he grabbed from the soldier. The terrorist was shot dead. The soldier sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The incident is under control.

In light of the security crisis in Israel, it is reported that a planned joint security summit between Israel and Germany has been canceled by Israel as PM Netanyahu is not leaving the country.

13:41: MDA: The soldier’s condition is listed as light. He is being transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

13:52: FINAL – MDA: Two people, both with light injuries, are being transported to Barzilai Hospital. One is cut on a hand and the second sustained injuries to his upper body. No additional details. Police report the terrorist got off a bus, saw the soldier and grabbed his weapon and then ran.
