It has been a long drawn-out process but a ceremony held at the President�s Residence on Sunday afternoon 28 Tishrei sealed the appointment of 22 dayanim to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel�s batei din.

The dayanim arrived at the President Residence escorted by their families. The official appointment of the dayanim was made by President Reuven Rivlin, finalizing the process that began in the last Knesset.

The appointment of the dayanim will significantly contribute to addressing the backlog in the Rabbanut�s batei din system.
