As Israel Marks the 20th Anniversary of Rabin Assassination, Carmiel Mayor Continues the Incitement Against the Right

rabin.jpgAs Israel marks the 20th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, Carmiel Mayor Adi Eldar continues the incitement against the right-wing community.

Addressing a Rabin memorial ceremony in Carmiel, Eldar stated “We must remember that the finger that pulled the trigger was many fingers that are found in government today. They were partners to pulling the trigger that shot Rabin in the back”.

Walla News quotes Eldar saying “A furious right-wing pursued him everywhere, inciting, carrying out the pulsa d’nura (פולסא-דנורא) tefilla, that curse that Rabin should die. One fool actually carried out this verdict but we must always remembers that the finger the pulled the trigger is actually many fingers that are in power in the State of Israel today. Nice things have not been done with this. They were partners in pulling the trigger that fired at Rabin in the back”.

He added “you are the young generation that must learn the lesson from this, to contemplate how we can preserve the Israeli democracy. We were not born with this. We must fight for democracy and this is not so simple. There are those who wish to return us to Tanach Law, to Torah Law, to a King of Israel and things like this”.
