Rabbonim Call on Security Forces to Refuse to Take Part in the Destruction of Beit Knesset Ayelet HaShachar

kol korei

A number of prominent rabbonim shlita on Tuesday night issued a proclamation calling on security forces to refuse to take part in the destruction of Beit Knesset Ayelet HaShachar in Givat Ze’ev. The demolition of the shul is imminent as per the decision of the High Court of Justice.

The rabbonim shlita call on members of the IDF and Israel Police to refuse orders, not to lend a hand in an act that is prohibited by the Torah and that the Torah supersedes the decision of the court. They call on them to refrain from being a part of this Chilul Hashem.

The call of the rabbonim is also directed at non-Jewish members of security forces, explaining by protecting Kodshei Yisrael they will merit a bracha from the G-d of Avraham, אב המון גויים.

Many have already arrived at the shul for the standoff, occupying their time with tefilos and limudim.

The rabbonim who signed the Kol Korei are Rabbi Shalom Cohen Shlita, Rabbi David Batzri Shlita, Rabbi Meir Mazuz Shlita, Rabbi Binayahu Shmueli Shlita, Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburg Shlita, Rabbi Shalom Arush Shlita, Rabbi Avigdor Nebenzahl Shlita, Rabbi Bentzion Mutzafi Shlita, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita and Rabbi David Chai HaCohen Shlita.

  1. Calling on the army and police to mutiny against the government verges on treason, and the Medinah will not “be amused.” Many who signed are on the government’s payroll, which makes them very vulnerable. While anti-zionist hareidim are free to oppose the Medinah, civil servants have a lot less flexibility.

  2. EY is at a state of war with the Palestinian terrorists and these mindless rabbunim are advocating that the soldiers and security forces should disobey orders?? These efforts are putting the klal at risk and should be squashed. Anyone directly or indirectly encouraging the violation of a court order should be jailed. Apparently, having semicha doesn’t always convey common sense when it comes to national security matters.

  3. Gadolhador – contrary to you’re user name you are not in a position to disagree with daas torah and call them mindless. Wash your mouth out.
