The Federal Aviation Administration says a flight from Seattle to Chicago slid off the runway at OHare International Airport.
United Airlines spokesman Charles Hobart says there were no injuries. He says the aircraft landed safely but then taxied just beyond the runways turnoff point.
The FAA says the slide-off happened at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday with United Flight 1977.
United didnt immediately say how many people were onboard the plane.
A fire department spokesman told WBBM-TV that the aircraft would be towed off the airfield.
The FAA says its investigating.
Snow was falling in the Chicago area Wednesday morning. United said it hasnt determined if weather was a factor in the incident.
