A fire broke out in a large residential apartment building in Crown Heights on Wednesday morning.

Smoke poured from the windows of an apartment on the 5th floor of the 6 story building at 560 Lefferts Avenue between Kingston and Albany Avenues at approximately 10:30 am.

Two people were injured with non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.

The FDNY had the fire under control in around 45 minutes.
