A Charedi man in his 40’s was stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist in Petach Tikva, Tuesday afternoon.
The attack happened at a store on Baron Hirsch Street in the city. The terrorist attacked the victim from behind with a knife, stabbing him in his upper body.
The store owner and the wounded man were able to neutralize him.
The victim was transported to the Beilinson Medical Center with serious injuries.
UPDATE 17:40: Police report the victim, a chareidi man in his 40s, entered a beverage store on Baron Hirsch Street in Petach Tikvah, at the city’s shuk. He was followed in by an Arab male, who pulled a knife and stabbed him at least twice, in the neck area and abdomen.
Police first believed the stabbing was the result of a dispute but are now reporting it appears the attack was an act of terror. That said, it is yet to be officially labeled a terror attack.
B’chasdei Hashem, with the assistance of the store owner, the victim managed to get the knife from the attacker and stab him, neutralizing him. Police report that the terrorist died of his injuries.
Officials in Beilinson Hospital report the victim is listed in moderate/stable condition, still in the trauma unit.
