YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of the R’ Heshy Jacob Z”L, who was the long-term President of Chevra Hatzolah, and the founder and Coordinator of East Side Hatzolah.

R’ Heshy suffered from an illness recently, and was Niftar on Thursday morning.

He was 71-years-old.

He leaves behind his wife Esther, and children ‘Rompy’ Klug, Shami Jacob, Yocheved Wenig, Aliza Malek & Dovie Jacob.

The Levaya will be held today, Thursday afternoon, at 1:30PM in the Bialystoker Shul located at 7-11 Bialystoker Place, formerly Willett Street, between Grand and Broome Streets in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan.

The Kevura will be at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY
