I’ve got a most inspiring anecdote to share!
Years ago, the Tzeilimer Roov זצוקללה”ה once called the menahalim of the camps and asked if “this year” both the boys and girls camps could go up on the same day! (Seemingly they used to go up on different days!) Aghast at his strange request, naturally they obliged but asked him as to why; especially since he didn’t exactly involve himself in this aspect on running the mosdos directly!
He replied that every year he fasted on the day the children went up to camp but this year he’s not up to fasting two days in a row and thus requested that they go up on the same day!
